What is Google Classroom?
Google Classroom is a free web service developed by Google for schools that aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students.Â
Google Classroom will manage student and teacher communication. Students can be invited to join a class through a private code, or automatically imported from a school domain. Teachers can create, distribute and mark assignments all within the Google ecosystem. Each class creates a separate folder in the respective user's Drive, where the student can submit work to be graded by a teacher. Assignments and due dates are added to Google calendar, each assignment can belong to a category (or topic). Teachers can monitor the progress of each student by reviewing the revision history of a document, and after being graded, teachers can return work along with comments.Â
Google Classroom Integration From Form Presenter
You can integrate with Google Classroom from Form Presenter.
You can post your published link as a new assignment/exam on Google Classroom right from Form Presenter.
Open Google Classroom Integration page from Add-on
Click on the "Google Classroom" button to integrate with Google Classroom.
Sign in with requested mail and give permissions
Form Presenter will ask to sign in with Form published email to integrate with Google Classroom.
Selected the Form published email.
Click on Allow to give permission.
Create Classwork
To Create new Classwork with published Form URL.
Select class.
Provide Title for Assignment/Exam.
Provide your Instructions on the Assignment.
Provide total points. It will show your Quiz total score that you provided in your Google Form.
Select whether the Classwork is to Assign or Draft(you need to assign it manually from Classroom if it is drafted)
Enabling Import Grade will import the quiz grade automatically on classwork on Form Submission.
Note:Â Import Grade will enforce login on creating classwork.
Click on Create Classwork.
The Classwork was created successfully.
If you assigned the classwork, you will get the link.
Clicking on "Open the Classwork on Google Classroom" will navigate to your newly created Classwork.
After creating a Classwork you can see the existing Classworks created by Form Presenter below.
Clicking on the Class name will navigate you to a particular class.
Clicking on Classwork will navigate you to a particular Classwork created by Form Presenter.
Enabling auto Import Grade will import grade to Google Classroom on Form submit.
Clicking on re-import grade will re-import the grades.
Audience View on new Classwork in Classroom
The students can attend the Assignment/Exam by clicking the Link.
The students will get grade updated immediately after submission.
Publisher View(Teacher) on Classwork after submission.
Teacher will get the grade imported after each student submitted the Form.
Reimport Grades
Clicking on Re-import all grades will re-import all the grades immediately.
Clicking on Show Grading will list all the submitted students list with their grading.
Select the required student email that needs to be re-imported.
Consider a student who attended the quiz 2 times, now the teacher needs to import the grade of the first submit only. At this time Re-import grade can be used.
Select the required student detail whose grade needs to be re-imported.
Click Re-import to re-import the grade values.
Once it is re-imported the following screen appears.
The re-imported grades will be updated in Google classroom.
